Beer style defined: IPA

IPA – Ah, yes, the King of beer styles in our opinion. The India Pale Ale, commonly known as the IPA, is an ale overdosed with hops, pine, and sometimes citrus notes. These bad boys can tip the IBU scales, with some being so high, that there is almost no way you can drink a bottle of it by itself. There are many variations of an IPA, each having different note characters. Some of the more common variations are DIPA (Double IPA) TIPA (Triple IPA, sometimes shown as IIIPA), English IPA, Imperial IPA, and Black IPA. For the best IPAs (in our opinion), look for the ones with Citra, Mosaic, or Galaxy hops. If you lean more towards an earthy or floral type, look for the ones with Cascade, Simcoe, or Hallertau hops.
